2026 Toyota Camry Research & Trim Guide
Page updated October 1, 2026 · Vehicle facts verified October 1, 2026 · U.S. model-year scope
Start with the Camry decisions that matter
The 2026 Camry is a hybrid sedan in Toyota’s U.S. shopping lineup. Start by selecting the grade and drivetrain together, rather than assuming every Camry has the same specification. Toyota’s stated maximum system output of 232 hp is a model-line ceiling; it is not the rating of every drivetrain configuration.
Grade, wheels and your daily route
The standard wheel diameter changes by grade: LE uses 16-inch wheels, SE and XLE use 18-inch wheels, and Nightshade and XSE use 19-inch wheels. Wheel diameter alone does not establish ride quality, tire cost or winter performance. When comparing builds, check the actual tire specification and replacement options, then test the vehicle on the roads you use.
Parking and passenger fit
Before choosing a sedan for street parking or a garage, check the exact vehicle’s exterior dimensions, mirror clearance and door-opening space against your parking location. This hub does not yet verify Camry dimensions. Bring your regular passengers and the luggage, stroller or equipment you normally carry to a fit check.
Choose the drivetrain deliberately
Toyota presents front-wheel drive and electronic on-demand AWD configurations. Availability for the exact grade and build still needs confirmation. Compare the selected drivetrain’s official specifications and tire requirements; an AWD label by itself does not settle winter suitability or total operating cost.
Compare the covered trim families
The table covers source-checked grade families. Packages, every drivetrain build and dealer availability require separate confirmation.
| Trim | Powertrain | Drivetrain availability | Standard wheels | Next step |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LE | Hybrid (HEV) | Front-wheel drive or electronic on-demand AWD configuration | 16 in | Compare this trim Discuss this configuration |
| SE | Hybrid (HEV) | Front-wheel drive or electronic on-demand AWD configuration | 18 in | Compare this trim Discuss this configuration |
| Nightshade | Hybrid (HEV) | Front-wheel drive or electronic on-demand AWD configuration | 19 in | Compare this trim Discuss this configuration |
| XLE | Hybrid (HEV) | Front-wheel drive or electronic on-demand AWD configuration | 18 in | Compare this trim Discuss this configuration |
| XSE | Hybrid (HEV) | Front-wheel drive or electronic on-demand AWD configuration | 19 in | Compare this trim Discuss this configuration |
Review the acquisition structure after the vehicle fit
Compare the complete lease or purchase proposal for the selected configuration: selling price, term, mileage allowance, down payment, taxes, fees and total due at signing. A monthly payment alone does not describe the full commitment. Confirm insurance, timing and the dealer vehicle before making a decision.
Current manufacturer programs and a payment calculator are not integrated here. Program availability and eligibility require a current, market-specific check. You can use the verified vehicle research while those checks are completed.
